It was forty years ago - during the long hot summer of 1976 that we first ran The Amazing Push Poem Machine communal poetry game on Merseyside Play Action Council playschemes.

To celebrate, in December 2016 we ran the game for four days in Tate Liverpool as part of Tate Exchance.

There was a constant stream of participants: 364 over the four days - on the busiest day an average of one person taking part every two minutes!

Read more about Amazing Push Poem Machine here, and have a look at some of the poems created at the Tate.
